If you are served with a Court of Common Pleas Complaint, you have only 20 days to file a written response with the Court.  Many consumers are easily confused because there may be an  arbitration date listed in the papers, and they think no answer is required.  Do not be fooled!

If you do not timely file a response to the complaint with the court, in a legally sufficient manner, the creditor can obtain a default judgment and there will be no arbitration.  Once a judgment is obtained a creditor may be able to garnish bank accounts and seize other property.

Scott F. Waterman, Esq.  and Patricia M. Mayer, Esq. are experienced in defending and negotiating  these types of matters and can assist in the defense of credit card and mortgage foreclosure actions.  Their phone number is 215-925-2110.

Loan Modifications in Philadelphia and Delaware County, PA

The threat of losing one’s home can be scary.   There are a number of loan modification programs, including HAMP, HARP and for Pennsylvania residents, HEMAP.  A loan modification is a permanent change in one or more of the terms of a Borrower’s loan, allows the loan to be reinstated, and results in a payment the Borrower can afford.

But getting a loan modification is not easy.   Often time the lenders claim they never received financial, or they simply lose documents.  Some homeowners  are scammed by paying money to out of state fly by night outfits which take their money and disappear without any results.

Scott F. Waterman, Esq.  and Patricia M. Mayer, Esq. are experienced in personally guiding their clients through the byzantine loan modification system to assist in applying and obtaining  a loan modification.  More importantly, their offices are local, so you can actually meet with them so you can gain the peace of mind that you have attorneys fighting for you.
