Patricia M. Mayer graduated, magna cum laude, from De Sales University with a B.A. in Politics in 1991. She earned her J.D. degree from Temple University School of Law in 1997, and was the recipient of the Barrister’s Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy. Ms. Mayer focuses her practice on representing individuals and small business owners in consumer bankruptcy cases, IRS Collection matters and mortgage foreclosure defense. Ms. Mayer is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, Philadelphia Bar Association and currently serves as Secretary to the Eastern District of Pennsylvania Bankruptcy Conference. In March of 2014, Ms. Mayer was selected to serve on the Eastern District of Pennsylvania Local Rules Committee which is currently drafting a Model Chapter 13 Plan to be used in the District along with revisions to other local procedures and rules. Ms. Mayer has earned an AV Preeminent Rating, the highest possible rating for both legal ability and ethical standards as reviewed by her peers and administered by Martindale Hubbell. Ms. Mayer is a frequent lecturer and course planner for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania Bankruptcy Conference. Ms. Mayer is admitted to the Supreme Courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, the District Courts of New Jersey and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States Tax Court and the United States Supreme Court. Ms. Mayer volunteers her time with the Consumer Bankruptcy Assistance Project, the Alzheimer’s Association of the Delaware Valley, The Philadelphia Arts & Business Council and the Temple Women’s Law Caucus.
